In July 2009 the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry announced 2 consultancies, one into the NRS framework and the other on the APVMA cost recovery model.

The Alliance has taken the initiative to produce a position paper titled “The structure, function and operation of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority and the National Registration Scheme” which has been submitted to the consultants.
